If you are an American (unless you are one of the rare Native Americans) you have an immigrant story in your history. Forced by another’s hand, political or social oppression, economic hardship or a desire for religious or personal freedom we all come from immigrants. Our stories are as rich and varied as our food and they are intertwined. Culinary Historian indeed! Bravo Michael Twitty!
